CMD + MCD + MDC = 180°


Now,


CMD = 90° [Diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles]


MCD = ACD = 40° [Given]


MDC = ADB [As diagonals bisect the angles in a rhombus]


90° + 40° + ADB = 180°


ADB = 50°
