# Draw the graph of the equation y = 3x – 4 and read off the value of y when x = -1

Answer :

y = 3x – 4

x = 1, ⇒y = 3 – 4 = -1

x = 0, ⇒ y = 3(0) – 4 = -4

x = 2, ⇒ y = 3(2) – 4 = 6 – 4 = 2

When x = -1 then y = 3(-1) – 4 = - 3 – 4 = - 7.

x = 1, ⇒y = 3 – 4 = -1

x = 0, ⇒ y = 3(0) – 4 = -4

x = 2, ⇒ y = 3(2) – 4 = 6 – 4 = 2

When x = -1 then y = 3(-1) – 4 = - 3 – 4 = - 7.
