Find

Answer :

Let p(x) = x 2 - 6x + 5

If a x 2 + b x + c is a quadratic equation, then we know that,

Sum of the zeroes of the polynomial = -( b/a )

The product of the zeroes of the polynomial = ( c/a )

Here, a = 1, b = - 6, c = 5

Sum of zeroes of the given polynomial = -(-6/1) = 6

The product of zeroes of the given polynomial = (5/1) = 5.
