So, total number of outcomes, n(S) = 36

(i) Even number on each dice

Possible Outcomes are (2, 2), (2, 4), (2, 6), (4, 2), (4, 4), (4, 6), (6, 2), (6, 4), (6, 6)

Favourable outcomes = 9

We know that,

(ii) A total of 9

Possible outcomes are (3, 6), (4, 5), (5, 4) and (6, 3).

Favourable outcomes = 4
