# Find the value of

Answer :

Given: We know that two matrices A and B are said to be equal if each element of A is equal to the corresponding element of B.

Equating the corresponding elements, we get

3x + y = 1 … (1)

-y = 2 … (2)

2y – x = -5 … (3)

From (2), y = -2

Substitute (2) in (1),

3x + (-2) = 1

3x = 3

x = 1
