In wheat plants, pollen grains shed at 3-celled stage which consist of one vegetative cell and two male gametes. Whereas, in pea plants pollen grains are shed at 2-celled stage which consists of one vegetative and one generative cell. Germ pores are the pores present on the exine layer of the pollen grains from where pollen tube comes out.
