Political equality is incomplete without social and economic equality. Discuss.
In a democracy, political equality is ensured means that even the poorest and the least educated have the same status as that of the rich and educated and everyone has an equal right, no person can be denied of their right on any basis.
Social equality is when nobody is ill-treated or discriminated on the basis of caste, creed, colour.
Economic equality is when people do not starve in poverty, and everyone has basic amenities of life.
So, providing socio-economic equality is more important than ensuring political equality. A person who does not get food for living and house to live in would never be interested in getting political equality because for him/her satisfying his/her basic needs is a priority. So, giving equal right to vote would be of waste.
Hence political equality is always followed by socio-economic equality.

Draw a web interconnecting different rights discussed in this chapter. For example, right to freedom of movement is connected to the freedom of occupation. One reason for this is that freedom of movement enables a person to got to place of work within one's village or city or to another village, city or state. Similarly this right can be used for pilgrimage, connected with freedom to follow one's religion. Draw a circle for each right and mark arrows that show connection between or among different rights. For each arrow, give an example that shows the linkage.NCERT Political Science - Democratic Politics I
