“People avoid action often because they are afraid of the consequences, for action means risk and damages.”
Often, people are unable to proceed from thoughts to action for two simple reasons – fear and self-doubt. They are fearful of meeting risks and dangers that will weigh them down, and they doubt whether they will be able to achieve their goals.
This kind of attitude to action is indeed too laid back for being able to achieve anything at all. Just because there might be risks and damages involved, one must not stop acting. There is no assurance that not accepting the task would rid you of risks and dangers ahead. Instead, the action is what keeps life going and keeps our spirits high.
Based on our thoughts, if we do not reciprocate them into actions, it is highly inappropriate even for our day-to-day lives. Even the most ordinary of persons has to dust himself off and proceed to work when the need arises. Be it a housewife who has to wake up early morning to do house chores, or a student faced with examinations and assignments, or even an ordinary clerk who has a bunch of pending files to complete, a life without action is no life at all.
