Answer :
Normally ozone breaks into oxygen under the influence of sunlight, and reforms into ozone again. Ozone hole is created when the rate of formation of ozone is slower than the rate of its depletion. Hence, when the CFCs accumulate in a specific region, ozone depletion becomes faster the rate of its formation ultimately leading to formation of ozone hole.
