Out of NaCl and AgCl, Which one shows Frenkel defect and why?
Frenkel defect is shown by those in which there is a large difference in the size of cations and anions. Here, due to the small size of Ag+ and large size of Cl-, AgCl will show Frenkel defect whereas NaCl will not show Frenkel defect.
