Name the tissue present in the brain.

Nervous tissue is the tissue present in the brain. The two types of nervous tissues are neurons & neuroglia.

Neuron:


The basic unit of the nervous system.


Also called as a nerve cell, it is used for sending & receiving electrical signals.


Neuroglia:


These are the non-neuron cells present in the nervous system.


They provide support & protection to neuron cells.
