Mica is one of the indispensable minerals used in the electrical and electronic industries because of its excellent insulating properties and resistance to high voltage. The states of Jharkhand and Rajasthan have many mica producing belts. Koderma – Gaya Hazaribagh belt of Jharkhand is the leading producer of mica in India. In Rajasthan, Ajmer has important mica producing belt around it.
