Pakistan is not a democratic country, it is under the military regime. There are elected representatives in the national and provincial assemblies, but the real power is with the President who is not elected.
In China, elections are regularly held after every 5 years. But only the members of the Chinese Communist party are allowed to contest. The government is always formed by the Communist Party. Hence the people of China have no serious say in the election; they are bound to choose the leader of the ruling party.
The above examples of Pakistan and China shows that, though elections are held in both countries, yet they do not represent democracy. China has a Communist type government, and Pakistan has a Military regime.
