# The volume of a cone is 308 cm^{3}. Its height is 6 cm. The radius of its base is—

A. 7 cm

B. 8 cm

C. 6 cm

D. None of these

Answer :

Let r be the base radius of cone

Volume of cone = 308 cm^{3}

Height = h = 6 cm

Volume of cone = πr^{2}h

⇒ 308 = × × r^{2} × 6

⇒ = r^{2} × 2

⇒ 14 × 7 = r^{2} × 2

⇒ r^{2} = 7 × 7

⇒ r = 7 cm
