The Mantle is the layer beneath the earth’s crust. The upper mantle is called asthenosphere. Which is in a liquid state. In this layer, the rock material deforms more readily, and magma formation takes place. The internal energy released due to endogenic movement caused in the mantle is responsible for earthquake and volcanic eruptions.
