The two possible ways in which a concave mirror can produce a magnified image of an object placed in front of it are as follows:


1. When an object is placed between pole and focus of the concave mirror, then the image produced will be an virtual, erect and magnified image.


2. When the object is placed between focus and center of curvature, the image formed between focus and center of curvature of the concave mirror. The image formed will be real, inverted and magnified.


The difference between the two images is when the object is placed between pole and focus of concave mirror, the image formed will be erect, magnified and virtual whereas when the object is placed between focus and center of curvature, the image formed will be real, inverted and magnified.
