Reproductive health is significant due to the following reasons:

1. It helps in prevention of sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS.

2. It helps in reproduction of healthy child as a healthy mother gives birth to a healthy child.

3. Adopting various contraceptives helps in maintaining control on over-population and also reduces pressure or burden financially.

4. Family planning also helps in maintaining good health of mother and thus leading to reduction in child mortality rate as well as maternal mortality rate.

The two areas related to reproductive health which have improved over the past 50 years in our country are :

1. The family size is reduced leading to economic stability due to family planning.

2. There is a decrease in sexually transmitted diseases suffered patients as it has created awareness among people and the use of contraceptives is increased.
