Q. 134.4( 10 Votes )

Answer :

Lack of internal democracy is a major challenge:

1. Parties do not generally keep a record of members, hold regular meetings or internal elections. Ordinary members don’t get complete information about the internal functioning.

2. Power inside the party gets concentrated among the leaders. Not all members are able to influence decisions.

3. Loyalty towards leaders becomes more important than loyalty to party principles and policies.

Explanation: Political parties’ lack of internal democracy can cause the concentration of power in few hands. This is against the principles of democracy.
