Justify the namin
The name of the Indian Ocean after India can be justified by the following points:
i. The Indian Ocean lies in the south of India and no other country than India has a longer coastline with it.
ii. India is the central head of the ocean which connects Africa and Europe to East Asia.
iii. The Indian Ocean also provides access to Australia from India.
iv. The Indian Ocean provides India with a strategic and advantageous position from the economic point of view.
