On seeing that Carter had lent Freddie a helper to read sentences, Cade was a little disappointed in himself and a little jealous. Despite repeated attempts, he hadn’t been able to make Freddie able to read sentences. And here Carter had managed to help him read several sentences at a go, using the helper.
This made Cade furious, and he interrupted Carter, telling him that he would like to teach Freddie his own way, as he was the appointed teacher. The comment and the previous nagging by Cade enraged Carter, who suspected Cade wasn’t at all happy with Freddie being able to learn something, no matter from whom. He therefore wishes to know if there is something that is bothering Cade. If there is, he wishes to be confronted on the same,
