If the East India Company had been left unchecked by the British government to rule in India what would have been the fate of India?
The East India Company was not able to manage the internal affairs of India during the mid-19th century. This led to transferring of the authority to the Queen of England. If this would not have happened, the East India Company would have continued with its unfair policies. It would have drained more wealth from the country and there would have been more discontent among the people. The 1857 revolt was the result of this policy after which the Queen took over. But if this had not happened, there would have been many more such revolts against the East India Company which would have led to more degradation of the Indian land economically, politically and socially.
