There are three types of ocean movements waves, tides, and currents.

Waves: When the water on the surface of the ocean rises and falls alternately, they are called waves.

Tides: It is rhythmic rise and fall of oceans twice in a day. When water covers much of the shore by rising high is called high tide, and vice versa called low tide.

Currents: They flow constantly on the ocean surface in one direction.

Tides are helpful for fishermen as during high tide many fish come closer to the shore and enable them to catch the fishes.
