How is illiteracy

The main reason for poverty in India is unemployment. Illiteracy leads to unemployment. Illiteracy is responsible for poverty.


1. People who are literate can easily get jobs based on their qualification and skill set. Therefore, they are able to generate the income needed to run their family.


2. Literate people are found to be more productive than illiterate.


3. Illiterate people cannot find better jobs due to their inability to read and write.


4. Illiterate workforce tends to get exploited and are not paid for appropriately.


Thus, illiteracy leads to poverty.
