How Indian agriculture may be modernised?
Steps by which Indian agriculture can be modernised:-
•Use of modern machinery – Introduction to the modern agricultural machinery like tractors, front-end loaders, backhoe and more will help the farmers to increase productivity. Mechanised farms will help to lessen the human effort and an increase in the growth of the crops.
•Scientific methods of farming- Qualitative seeds, chemical fertilizers should be made available to the Indian farmers. Rainwater harvesting should be implemented. More factories of manure, fertilizers and other necessary things should be made. Proper water facilities should be made available.
•Crop Rotation – Growing the same crops in the same field will reduce the nutrients in the soil and henceforth the net production of the crop will be reduced day by day. So growing various types of crops after one another will increase the soil fertility and also increase the production rate of the farmer.
•Pest Control – Many crops get damaged due to pest or insects and diseases. So proper checking and spraying of pesticides and insecticides should be done to avoid unnecessary damage to the crops.
