Rich peasants and women took part in Civil Disobedience Movement:
1. Rich peasants supported the movement and even encourage others to participate in boycotting of foreign goods.
2. For the rich peasants, it was a struggle against high revenues that they had to pay so they didn’t approve of movement being called off the revenue rates decreasing.
3. Women participated in huge numbers for the movement. From urban areas, the women of high-caste families and in rural, those of rich peasant households participated.
Explanation: Most of the rich peasants participated for their self-interest rather than a nationalist feeling. Even though many women participated, their social standing didn’t change.
