How did the oppos

During the general elections of 1952, many diverse opposition parties came into existence. They occupied a significant position in the upcoming elections as well. They helped to maintain a democratic character of the system and played a crucial role in the same. the following points support this statement:

a) They offered a criticism based on principles to keep the party which is currently ruling in check.

b) This helped to keep the power in balance.

c) They also groomed the leaders to contest in elections.

d) During the initial years, there was a high level of respect between leaders of Congress and opposition parties including the opposition leaders like Dr Ambedkar, Jayaprakash Narayan etc into the cabinet.
