How did the Non-C

Answer :

Before launching the Non-Cooperation movement in 1921, Mahatma Gandhi and Shaukat Ali travelled around the country to gain support for the movement. Gandhiji wanted people to give up all the titles provided by the British government and boycott civil services, Army, Police, Courts, Universities, Schools, Legislative Councils and foreign goods.

There were various causes through which Non-Cooperation movement spread in the cities. These were:

• Middle-class people were the first who participated in the movement. This made even the rich and poor to participate in the movement to fight for their rights.

• Students, Lawyers, Teachers, etc. started boycotting the government organisations.
