There are certain reasons for the decreasing child sex ratio in India are as follows:

(A) Feudal mindset of people residing in the country who still regard women to be some kind of a curse. The literacy level of such people may be a contributing factor to their mindset.


(B) Absence of punitive measure from the government against sex determination centre.
