(a) Subhash Chandra Bose believed that while England was engaged in the Second World War, India should take advantage of the situation and intensify its agitation and if necessary, should seek the help of the enemies of England. However, he developed differences of opinion with the senior leaders of the National Congress and eventually resigned from the position of the Congress President.
