Answer :

(a) Subhash Chandra Bose believed that while England was engaged in the Second World War, India should take advantage of the situation and intensify its agitation and if necessary, should seek the help of the enemies of England. However, he developed differences of opinion with the senior leaders of the National Congress and eventually resigned from the position of the Congress President.


(b) Subhash Chandra Bose appealed to the Indian people to rise in revolt against the British in his speeches. He was therefore interned by the in his residence by the British government.


(c) America dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 9 August 1945. As a result, Japan surrendered during the Second World War.
