Stop codon: the codon which does not code for any amino acid, examples are UAA, UAG, and UGA. These codons terminate the synthesis of the polypeptide chain.
Unambiguous codon: one codon codes for only one amino acid.
Degenerative codon: some amino acids are coded by more than one codon.
Universal codon – the same genetic code codes for same amino acid in all the organisms either it is humans or bacteria.
