Farmers grow legu

Answer :

Leguminous plants contain certain bacteria (Rhizobium) in their roots that can fix a huge amount of atmospheric nitrogen. In this way, the soil is enriched with nitrogen supply. It is highly beneficial for the next growing crop. All crops are not able to fix nitrogen on their own. Growing legumes in between two seasons ensure that the crop of next season receives sufficient nitrogen supply and that they do not become deficient.
