Explain the role

Answer :

Histone proteins are found in the nucleus of eukaryotic cell. They are basic in nature (positively charged protein) and help in packaging of DNA. The nucleosome is formed when eight separate Histone protein subunits attach to the molecule of DNA. This unit of eight molecules is known as a Histone octomer. The negatively charged DNA is wrapped around this Histone octomer.
