Spirulina can be used as Single Cell Protein (SCP). Single Cell proteins are the alternate sources of protein for animal and human nutrition. Spirulina can be grown abundantly and easily on most of the materials like straw, molasses (product/residue of sucrose crystallisation) and sewage. They are rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins, therefore acts a good source of nutrition.
