1. The Indian constitution has ensured Fundamental Rights for its citizens like right to equality, right to freedom etc.
2. Protection of the weaker communities like women and minorities is also prioritized by the government.
3. The National and State Human Rights Commission were set up in 1993 through the Human Rights Protection Act. It looks after cases of human rights violation.
