Explain in short
Under land revenue records, land use categories tend to be as follows:
(A) Forest – Within land revenue records, forests are the areas that are identified as well as demarcated for forest growth.
(B) Land Put to Uses that are Non-Agricultural – Within this category, all land which is not employed in agriculture is included. For example, roads, shops, settlement, industries, canals, etc.
(C) Barren and Wastelands – This category typically includes all that land which is incapable of being cultivated. It, thus, includes the unproductive land.
(D) Area Under Permanent Pastures as well as Grazing Lands – This kind of land is commonly found in the outer area of rural settlements wherein villagers graze their animals.
(E) Culturable Wasteland – It involves land which can be employed to cultivate crops via land reclamation as well as other land quality enhancement techniques.
(F) Current Fallow – It includes the land wherein cultivation is not practised for a year or less than a year.
