Answer :

Given: Third term of a G.P, T_{3} = 4

∴ ar^{2} = 4 …(i)

To find: Product of first five terms

So, First five terms are a, ar, ar^{2}, ar^{3} and ar^{4}

∴ Product of first five terms = a × ar × ar^{2} × ar^{3} × ar^{4}

= a^{5}r^{1+2+3+4}

= a^{5}r^{10}

= (ar^{2})^{5}

= (4)^{5} [from (i)]

__Ans__. The third term of a G.P. is 4, the product of the first five terms is __(4) ^{5}__
