Area (ΔADX) = Area (ΔACX) (i)
ΔACY and ΔACX lie on the same base AC and are between the same parallels AC and XY
Area (ΔACY) = Area (ACX) (ii)
From equations (i) and (ii), we obtain
Area (ΔADX) = Area (ΔACY)
