Find the areas of the shaded region:

Answer :
Diameter of the small circles = cm
Radius of the small circles = cm
Area of two small circles = 2 × =
cm2 = 4.8 cm2
Diameter of the large circle =14 cm
Radius of the large circle = × 7 × 7 = 154 cm2
Area of shaded region = Radius of the large circle - Area of two small circles = 154 - 4.8 = 149.2 cm2
∴ Area of shaded region = 149.2 cm2
