Answer :

Let the marked price of the article be ₹x.

Cost price of the article = ₹360

According to the question,

= 360

= 360

Because discount is always calculated on marked price and profit is always calculated on cost price.

= 360

9x = 450 × 10

x = ₹500

So, the marked price is ₹500.

Hence, option (a) is correct.
