Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

D = 25 – 4 × 2 × 3 = 1

(ii)

For a quadratic equation, ax2 + bx + c = 0,

Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

Given,

D = 4 – 4 × 4 × 1 = - 12

(iii)

For a quadratic equation, ax2 + bx + c = 0,

Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

Given,

2x2 – 3x + 1 = 0

D = 9 – 4 × 2 × 1 = 1

(iv)

For a quadratic equation, ax2 + bx + c = 0,

Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

D = 4 – 4 × 1 × k = 4 – 4k

(v)

For a quadratic equation, ax2 + bx + c = 0,

Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

D = 8 – 4 × √3 × -2√3 = 32

(vi)

For a quadratic equation, ax2 + bx + c = 0,

Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

Given,

D = 1 – 4 × 1 = -3
