A chemist h

Answer :

Let 50% acidic solution be x litre and 25% acidic solution is y litre

Combine them to form 10 litre 40% acidic solution

Number of mole should be equal in both side so,

Multiplying by 100 from both the sides

And other condition is volume conservation

So, total volume of solution is 10 litre

Putting the value of x in equation (1)

50(10–y) + 25y = 400

500–50y + 25y = 400

25y = 100

y = 4

x = 6
