# Harish purchased 50 dozen bananas for Rs. 135. five dozen bananas could not be sold because they were rotten. At what prize per dozen should Harish sell the remaining bananas so that he could make a profit of 20%?

Answer :

Total cost price of 50 dozen banana = 135

Cost price of one dozen banana

5 dozen are rotten so the remaining dozen = 45

So CP of 45 dozen banana = 45 × 2.7 = 121.5

According to the question he gain 20% the selling price is

Percentage gain

sp-121.5 = 24.3

sp = 145.8

Selling price of 45 dozen is 145.8

Selling price per dozen is 3.24
