A vendor bought oranges at 20 for Rs.56 and sold them at Rs.35 per dozen. Find his gain or loss per cent?
Answer :
He bought 20 for Rs. 56
CP of one orange
C.P of 1 orange = Rs. 2.8
He sell Rs. 35 per dozen
Selling price of one orange
= Rs. 2.9 per orange
Therefor SP > CP, so he is in profit
So, the percentage profit
= 3.57% per piece
