Answer :
The distance travelled by birds = 15,000 km
∵ 1 km = 1000 m
∴ 15,000 km = 15000 × 1000 m
= 15000000 m
= 15 × 106 m
= 1.5 × 107 m
∴ The distance in metres is 1.5 × 107 m
