2x2 + x – 45


Now first find the numbers whose-


Sum = 1 and


Product = - 45 × 2 = - 90


Required numbers are 10 and 9,


So we get;


2x2 + x – 45


= 2x2 + 10x – 9x – 45


= 2x(x + 5) – 9(x + 5)


= (x + 5)(2x – 9)
