# Factories:

x^{2} – ax – bx + ab

Answer :

x^{2} – ax – bx + ab

Let’s arrange the terms in a suitable form;

x^{2} – ax – bx + ab

= x^{2} – bx – ax + ab

= (x^{2} – bx) – (ax – ab)

= x(x – b) – a(x – b)

= (x – b)(x –a)

So we get,

x^{2} – ax – bx + ab = (x – b)(x –a)
