5x2 – 6x – 2 = 0

Answer :

5x2 – 6x – 2 = 0

Dividing by 5

We know

(a – b)2 = a2 – 2ab + b2

Here, a=x and –2ab =

–2xb = ( a =x)

–2b =

Equation becomes

Add and subtract

Canceling squares both sides


So, and are the roots of the equation.
