# The median of a set of 9 distinct observations is 20. If each of the largest 4 observations of the set is increased by 2, find the median of the resulting set.

Answer :

No of terms, n = 9

As, n is odd

Median is term.

⇒ Median is 5^{th} term

If each of the largest 4 observations of set is increased by 2, it does not affect 5^{th} term or the order of terms.

Therefore, median remains same i.e. 20.
