cos2θ + sec2θ = 2 + sinθ


Let θ = 0°


LHS = cos2θ + sec2θ = cos2θ° + sec20° = 1 +1 = 2 … (1)


RHS = 2 + sinθ = 2 + sin0° = 2 + 0 = 2 … (2)


From (1) and (2), LHS = RHS.


The given equation is an identity.
