We have Given: ABD = CBD

BA = 12,

BC = 16 &

To find: AC = ?

, In ∆ABC bisector of B intersects AC at D.

By theorem of proportionality, we have By reciprocating on both sides, Substituting the values, we get  CD = 12

We can express AC as,

AC = 9 + 12

AC = 21

Thus, option (b) is correct.
